JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A MORTGAGE BROKER ASSISTANT – CUSTOMER SERVICE
Your Responsibilities as Mortgage Broker Assistant – Customer Service would be:
- Support broker by focusing on nurturing relationships and post-settlement customer care.
- Provide dedicated customer support services.
- Database and Marketing management.
- Gather current loan and property data.
- Prepare annual review reports.
- Process pricing requests.
- Monitor pre-approval applications.
- Track loans from approval to settlement.
- Post settlement aftercare email to clients every 3, 6, and 12 months (as required).
- Providing administrative support to the Mortgage Broker and their applications as required.
Qualifications as Mortgage Broker Assistant – Customer Service:
- Someone with 2- 3 years of BPO experience. Preferably with experience in sales or processing roles.
- Australian experience supporting a mortgage broker or banking/lending industry is an advantage.
- Experience with any CRM is preferred but not required.
- Passionate about delivering quality client outcomes, who is also accountable and accurate with their work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good understanding of mathematics.
- Ability to work in a cohesive and high-paced environment.
- Well-presented, detail orientated & proficient at multi-tasking.
- Great team player with a strong work ethic.
- Hands-on experience with Office 365 management systems, CRM Online office-related software.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A MORTGAGE BROKER ASSISTANT
Your Responsibilities as a Mortgage Broker Assistant:
- Supporting the Broker throughout the loan application.
- Assisting the brokers at all stages of the loan process, from first contact through to settlement.
- Providing high-level executive and administrative support to the Mortgage Brokers and their applications.
- Requesting all client information, and liaising with the client directly to gather supporting information.
- Preferably with experience in conducting needs analysis, serviceability assessments, product assessment, funding position based on clients’ objectives and situations, researching lender policies, and preparing loan comparisons.
- Preparing and packaging all client loan applications and ensuring data entry requirements are accurate and all supporting documentation is as per bank requirements (attention to detail and accuracy is paramount).
- Lender follow-up and status reporting.
- Taking ownership of all compliance-related matters, ensuring all documentation and data are captured in the CRM system.
- Completing loan serviceability, ordering valuations, preparing forms (FHOG forms, Discharge requests, etc) gathering rate quotes, arranging loan doc execution (making appointments on behalf of the Broker to facilitate), and arranging settlements with stakeholders.
- Additional duties may include:
- Post settlement aftercare.
- Reviewing existing client loans and ensuring the business stays close to all clients.
QUALIFICATIONS AS A MORTGAGE BROKER ASSISTANT:
- Minimum of 2 years Australian experience supporting a mortgage broker or banking/lending industry is an advantage.
- Experience with Aggregator CRM software and Applyonline/Simpology (LoanApp) lodgment systems.
- Someone who is passionate about delivering quality client outcomes.
- Someone who understands data privacy, as well as the Australian Best Interest Duty and Responsible Lending and Brokers obligations under this legislation.
- Someone accountable and accurate with their work.
- Understands the ‘language’ of mortgages and has a good understanding of the end-to-end loan application process.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a cohesive and high-paced environment.
- Well-presented and detail orientated.
- Ability to understand financial (tax) documents, and bank credit policy & assess PAYG applications.
- Great team player with a strong work ethic.
- IT savvy and ability to pick up software easily.
